HELLO AND THANK YOU FOR VISITING MY SITE
My name is Sky and I am a nature inspired therapy guide. My mission is to connect people from all walks of life to the healing and wondrous power of nature. I received my training as a certified guide through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy. I have a level one certificate in Ecotherapy from the Earthbody Institute. I am also a trained yoga teacher, meditation practitioner, photographer and artist.
My relationship with nature started when I was a young child growing up in NJ's suburbs near a patch of woods that served as a never-ending source of curiosity and inspiration. My connection to nature evolved throughout the years from a place of belonging and wonder to also include hiking, walking and outdoor sports. I have spent time engaged in solo walks throughout New Jersey's forests and lived for a brief time in Vermont near the Appalachian Trail. Throughout my life I have turned to the wilderness for solace and friendship, healing and spiritual connection.
My formal introduction to Forest Bathing began up at the Kripalu Yoga Center in Massachusetts. I started attending Kripalu's numerous mindfulness nature programs and knew in my heart that I wanted to share my passion for nature with others. I offer forest bathing, ecotherapy and guided hikes and walks as relational experiences where participants are invited to interact with the natural world in ways that cultivate healing, kinship and connection. I bring a compassionate and soulful presence to everything I do and strive to meet others where they are in their own process of healing and self-discovery.
I have a background working with all different kinds of people who seek out my services for various reasons, including: nature appreciators and lovers, people looking to de-stress, unplug and reconnect to the natural world, individuals on a healing path who are seeking personnel growth, solace and rejuvenation, people looking to improve their mental health and overall wellness, differently abled individuals who might not have opportunities to get outdoors or do not know that they can connect to nature while being inside, individuals who identify as GLBTQ and their allies, caregivers who are overwhelmed in caring for their loves ones and clients, and people
who are grieving a loss of any kind.
I provide my services for individuals and groups and can work with people both outdoors and indoors, in-person and virtually. For more information or to just say hello. You can email me at Skyhawkwalks@gmail.com or use the contact form here. I look forward to meeting you and guiding you on a nature experience soon.
